High School Internship
A WTT? summer internship is always a true group effort, bringing together BPS high school students, BARI and other Northeastern University staff, and a wide array of local partners, from the community to government level. Each year, the internship focus changes while maintaining the underlying goal of youth empowerment.

The internship documents of all sessions to date available for public use.

What The Tech? 2025
In 2024, high school interns (many who completed the spring workshop) teamed up with and Community Advocacy Fellows from Tech Goes Home (TGH) to conduct a community survey about current attitudes regarding AI. BARI and TGH staff were there to provide guidance and support.

The result was presentations by the interns on how AI and emergent technology are being addressed by state and federal legislation and how they could in theory benefit Boston. These presentations, especially the survey data they summarized, were then incorporated into testimonies made by the Community Advocacy Fellows to City Councilors.
